I need an adult. I tried to install Windows 10 yesterday, and it was a disaster.
It would crash and reboot on the first log-in screen over and over, until I unplugged a bunch of stuff (external drives, USB wireless adapter, etc). But I'm pretty sure it was the wireless adapter (Netgear A6210), because once I could get into the OS, it was a huge hassle just getting it to even SEE networks (went here to figure that out: https://community.netgear.com/t5/WiFi-Adapters/Think-they-ll-ever-release-Windows-10-drivers-A6200/td-p/966699). After that, however, it would just hang when trying to connect to my wifi network. Other issues.. - It did not install my video card at all during the update. - The desktop ran terribly. It was sluggish the entire time. - My antivirus software kept trying to stop normal windows services from running (this is probably Webroot's stupidity, not Microsofts, though) Are all these things going to be fixed eventually? I want to point out that this whole experience was emotionally exhausting, since the update installer basically LIED to me by intelling me my hardware was 'ready.' I don't like being lied to (ideas like 'stabbed in the back,' 'given the finger,' and 'betrayed' spring to mind). The experience was so bad, and because I use my home computer for work, I had to roll-back to Win 7 in the middle of the night. Specs..
